EQUANS are recruiting for an Multiskilled Engineer to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, van and fuel card and benefits package.
General Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to support and carry out a range of tasks related to heating system installations. This role involves working on domestic or light commercial properties, performing duties that span plumbing, heating, and general building tasks such as basic joinery, making good, and finishing works. You’ll work as part of a team installing heating systems to a high standard, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Support full system upgrades, conversions, and first/second fix heating installations. Perform related multi-trade tasks including: Making good walls, floors, or finishes after installs Basic joinery (boxing in pipework, access panels) Carry out site preparation and post-installation finishing where required. Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety, quality, and building regulations. Collaborate with heating engineers, electricians, and other trades on-site. Complete required paperwork, job sheets, and report any issues or defects to the supervisor. Deliver a high standard of customer service and maintain a clean, tidy work area. What can we offer you?

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Essential:
Relevant building services trade. Proven experience in heating installations and associated building works. Understanding of system layouts, pipework routing, and building fabric. Ability to complete a range of related multi-trade tasks. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
PAS 2030/2035 retrofit knowledge or experience working under ECO schemes. CSCS card or equivalent health & safety training. Asbestos awareness certification.
Please be advised that the successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic Access NI check prior to commencing employment.
