About the Role
A permanent, skilled multi-trade opportunity has opened with a sector-leading client. You’ll refurbish social housing void properties across the South West, performing essential works to prepare homes for new tenants.
This is a long-term position offering: ✔ Variety – Work across multiple trades each day ✔ Security – Week pay, company van & fuel, paid on-call schedule (1 in 7 weeks). ✔ Growth – Training, pension, leave flexibility, and referral rewards ✔ Stability – Reliable full-time hours (39 hrs/week, plus rotational on-call)
Your Responsibilities
As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you will be supported to integrate seamlessly into the Voids refurbishment team. Key tasks include:
Types of Refurbishment Projects
- Fit-outs for new tenants: Renovation of kitchens and bathrooms
- Repair & upgrade of internal and external doors to safety/welfare standards
- UPVC window & door replacement/ repair (including full unit installation)
- Joiner & carpentry repairs such as:
- Tool-railed door hanging and adjustments
- Replacement of internal/external doors
- Vinyl/plastic laminate flooring installation with a cap/cove finish
- Basic patch plastering & tiling of walls/ floors
- Decorating: Wall treatments, undercoat, full coats, and skirting board renewal
- Plumbing: Minor installations and repairs (e.g., taps, systems warming units)
- Day-to-day maintenance across multi-disciplined areas (safe execution is crucial)

Operational Requirements
- Work autonomously to deadlines set by an Android mobile device
- Ensure all projects deliver high standards for handover (exceeding client needs)
- Rotational duties may involve short shifts outside regular contract hours.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, thoughtful tradesperson with:
- Years of experience as a Multi-Skilled Trade Person or Multi-Trade Operative (e.g. flooring, carpentry, plumbing, decorating)
- Can bring **valve-handling/drain-coating work specialty (advantageous)
- NVQ Level 2 Qualification in relevant trade area (e.g. Plumbing/ Electrical/Interior Decking Fit Out) (Enrolment on training scheme provided if missing essential Level 2. Equivalent on-the-job experience considered.)
- A full UK driving licence – access across Bath, Bristol and Hampshire sites required
- Commitment to ongoing DBS checks and background safety vetting
- Attention to detail + a reputation for delivering eye-catching/interior quality-shifts (high job satisfaction = assured)
