Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
This role is 4 days a week based in Charing Cross (Mon - Thursday) - 32 hours a week
Job Purpose
The Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) is a key member of the resident JLL engineering team, with a primary focus on the operational delivery of planned and reactive electrical maintenance services at our prestigious client's headquarters.
You will also provide support for mechanical systems to ensure a fully compliant, safe, and comfortable environment for the client and their employees. This role requires a proactive and professional individual with expert electrical skills and a strong focus on customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Engineering (Primary Focus)
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on all electrical systems.
Take ownership of systems including LV switchgear, single and three-phase power distribution, UPS systems, and final circuits.
Manage and maintain the entire lighting system, including emergency lighting testing and repairs, and familiarity with lighting control systems (e.g., DALI).
Conduct statutory testing and inspection where qualified (e.g., fixed wire testing support, RCD testing).
Carry out minor electrical installations and project works as required.
Mechanical Maintenance (Secondary Focus)
Provide multi-skilled support by undertaking basic maintenance and first-line fault finding on mechanical plant, including:

Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
Pumps, motors, and variable speed drives
Basic plumbing and sanitary systems
Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) and make basic adjustments.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Adhere strictly to all JLL and client Health & Safety policies, with a particular focus on electrical safety procedures (e.g., Safe Isolation, permits to work).
Complete all work-related risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Ensure electrical statutory compliance is maintained and all records and logbooks are kept up-to-date.
Supervise and escort specialist subcontractors (especially electrical contractors), ensuring their work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Client & Team Collaboration
Act as a professional and courteous representative of JLL on the client's site, providing clear updates on work progress and system performance.
Manage workload and job allocation through the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, ensuring all jobs are completed within their specified SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Work collaboratively with other members of the on-site JLL team to deliver a seamless and integrated facilities service.
Qualifications And Experience
Essential:
A recognized apprenticeship and formal qualification in an electrical discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).

City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671) is mandatory.
Proven experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a high-end corporate or commercial office environment.
Demonstrable expertise in fault-finding on a variety of electrical systems from distribution to final circuits.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and tenants.
Proficient in using CAFM systems and general IT applications.
Desirable:
Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391).
A good working knowledge of and willingness to perform basic maintenance on mechanical systems (AHUs, FCUs, etc.).
Experience with modern Building Management Systems (BMS) such as Trend or Siemens.
F-Gas 2079 qualification for work on air conditioning systems.
Formal training in Health & Safety (e.g., IOSH Working Safely).
IPAF and PASMA certifications for working at height.
