Contract: Full Time

Salary: £27.50 Per hour

Contracted Hours: 42

We’re now looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to help power our production and keep our operations running at their best.

About You:

  • Multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical expertise and electrical knowledge
  • Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
  • Confident fault-finder with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong communicator with great teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable managing contractors and working across departments
  • Health & Safety and basic Food Hygiene awareness
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
  • Flexible to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights)
  • Willing to work in varied environments (including freezer areas, boiler rooms, and at height)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strong plant performance through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Maintain and improve OEE, MTTR, and overall equipment reliability
  • Carry out routine inspections and ensure minimal downtime across site
  • Maintain machinery including motors, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Support electrical systems, including panels, controls, and sensors
  • Work with PLCs and HMIs to troubleshoot and enhance automation
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards
  • Conduct audits, inspections and safely remove defective equipment where needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems (e.g. Shire/Pirana)
  • Work collaboratively across shifts and manage on-site contractors
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce waste (time, materials, resources)
