Up to £57,000, plus:

The Recipe (Role Overview)
As a Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll work in collaborative shift teams alongside production, safety, and hygiene departments. You’ll perform planned and preventative maintenance, using your engineering expertise to develop robust, long-term solutions.
The Role
You’ll be part of a highly skilled engineering team and will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and rectifying faults through inputs and outputs, as well as reading and acting on data
- Conducting planned and preventative maintenance across bulk handling systems, processing, packaging, site services, and PLC control systems
- Identifying and diagnosing issues preemptively to enhance plant reliability
- Completing continuous improvement projects aimed at:
- Increasing plant efficiency
- Reducing downtime
- Saving energy and associated costs

Essential Ingredients (Requirements)
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Maintenance experience, preferably in a FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of H&S and Food Safety systems, including PUWER and IOSH legislation
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- Understanding of PLC and control systems (desirable but not essential)
- Engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent)
