Location: Somerset Salary: £53,000 (OTE £60,000+) Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (2 Days: 6am–6pm / 2 Nights: 6pm–6am)
About the Role
A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a market-leading FMCG manufacturing business in Somerset. This is an excellent chance to work alongside a company that has invested heavily in its sites and continues to grow due to increased production demand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production equipment
- Operating within a fast-paced environment, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime
- Supporting overall site performance
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities and engineering projects to drive efficiency across the business

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Must be multi-skilled with either an electrical or mechanical bias Must hold an engineering qualification Must be comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Key Duties & Requirements
- Experience in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience working on production and process machinery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience supporting continuous improvement activities
Desirable Experience
- Background in FMCG or manufacturing
- Experience working on high-speed production lines
