Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off; 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.
About The Role

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment across our manufacturing facilities. Role Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum equipment reliability by promptly responding to breakdowns, conducting effective repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the Britvic Work System (BWS)
- Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, including LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out), Permit to Work systems, and all relevant statutory requirements
- Take ownership of site reliability performance metrics and KPIs, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (TPM, RCM, RCA, PDCA, 5S)
- Lead and participate in zero loss teams to optimize utilities usage and drive improvements to equipment reliability
- Collaborate with Operations teams to develop world-class engineering solutions that promote a culture of strong performance and professional manufacturing
- Maintain accurate records in the SAP PM system, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts usage
- Support capital engineering projects in partnership with the Central Engineering Department to ensure successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets

- Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, capable of understanding root causes of machine breakdowns and developing effective solutions
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance delivery within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Food/Beverage/FMCG industries
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and Lean principles, with TPM practitioner experience desirable
- Excellent analytical and practical skills, combined with strong IT literacy (MS Office suite) and data analysis capabilities
- Proven ability to manage contractors, review risk assessments, and issue permits while maintaining strict safety standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and develop others in a collaborative team environment
