Your Mission

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in keeping our busy production environment running smoothly. Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and technical support across a wide variety of plant, machinery, and site services.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly minimize downtime and support efficient, safe, and reliable production.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all machinery and site services remain safe, reliable, and efficient.
  • Diagnose faults quickly and effectively to minimize production downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practice within the Engineering team.
  • Support and achieve departmental KPIs and operational targets.
  • Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems.

What We Expect From You

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship, training, or degree.
  • Electrical engineering qualification.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC software and programming.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally food.
  • Strong mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements.
  • Confident, proactive, with strong communication skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Good record-keeping skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience of SAP software would be beneficial, though not essential.

  • £28.5k – 41,250 per annum dependent on suitability, training, and experience.
  • 5% bonus scheme.
  • Core hours will be 40 hours per week. The team shares shifts to ensure the factory is staffed between 06:00 – 22:00.
