Multi-Skilled Engineer (Facilities Management)
Location: SO21 2SW Salary: £19.48 per hour (PAYE)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Facilities Management (FM) team, working across a variety of client sites. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional and supportive engineering team, delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services.
The successful candidate will:
- Carry out statutory planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and general building services. Ensure client sites remain safe, compliant, and operational while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Work alongside a team of experienced engineers to support a diverse portfolio of facilities and contribute to the efficient delivery of FM services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Undertake fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance across electrical and building services systems.
- Complete minor mechanical, plumbing, fabric, and general maintenance works as required.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and reports.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
- Support colleagues and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

About You
You will be a proactive and dependable Multi-Skilled Engineer with:
- A strong work ethic and commitment to excellent service.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced FM environment.
Essential Requirements
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
- Experience in maintenance within commercial or FM environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Engineering Maintenance.
- AM2 Certification.
- City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
- Previous Facilities Management (FM) experience.
