Static Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Full-Time – 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday (with occasional out-of-hours work and on-call duties where required)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Static Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our Facilities Management team at Gymshark's Blythe Valley Business Park site in Solihull.
This is a static-site role responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and general building services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building systems remain safe, compliant, reliable, and fully operational while delivering an excellent service to the client.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose and repair faults on electrical distribution systems, lighting, emergency lighting, power supplies, and control equipment.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical installations in accordance with current regulations.
- Complete minor electrical installations and modifications.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
Mechanical & Building Services
- Perform first-line maintenance on HVAC equipment, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), pumps, motors, valves, and associated plant.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets, pipework, and drainage.
- Undertake general building fabric maintenance, including doors, ceilings, flooring, locks, and fixtures.
- Support specialist subcontractors when required.

Compliance & Health & Safety
- Record all maintenance activities using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company Health & Safety policies and statutory legislation.
- Prepare and work in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Maintain compliance with statutory inspections and planned maintenance schedules.
- Report hazards, equipment defects, and incidents promptly.
Customer Service
- Respond quickly and professionally to reactive maintenance requests.
- Develop positive working relationships with the client and site occupants.
- Communicate effectively regarding maintenance activities and operational issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and high standard of customer service at all times.
General Responsibilities
- Participate in the on-call rota where applicable.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Assist with audits and compliance inspections.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organised condition.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence (where required).
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- HVAC or Mechanical Maintenance qualification.
- First Aid at Work.
- IOSH Working Safely.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
- Experience carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building fabric maintenance.
- Experience using CAFM or CMMS systems.
- Sound understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
