Role Description
The Multi Skilled Engineering Apprentice will work full time on-site at Origin Peptides’ facility in Linlithgow, supporting the development, operation, and maintenance of peptide production equipment and processes. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Assisting with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and manufacturing systems
- Monitoring process performance
- Recording technical data
- Supporting small engineering projects
- Participating in continuous improvement activities
- Following established safety and quality procedures
The role also involves collaborating with engineers and operations staff, contributing to problem-solving discussions, and learning to apply engineering principles in a biotech manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Solid Analytical Skills, including problem-solving, data interpretation, and attention to detail in technical tasks.
- Foundational Project Management skills, such as organizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and supporting small-scale engineering projects.
- Interest or basic knowledge in Manufacturing Engineering, including familiarity with production processes, equipment, and safety practices.
- Interest or basic knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, including understanding mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance principles.
