Multi-skilled Joiner – Exeter (Permanent)
About the Organisation
Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents’ homes are safe and well-maintained.
About the Role
We are seeking a Multi-skilled Joiner to join our South West team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role (39-hour week) with participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, offering additional payment.
Core Requirements:
- Must live within the Exeter area.
- A valid full UK driving licence is essential.
- A basic DBS check is required (paid by The Guinness Partnership).
Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad range of repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to residential properties.
- Perform multi-trade tasks including basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, groundwork, damp/mould treatment and flooring installation.
- Work within customer-focused environments, typically within residential settings.
- Operate efficiently as solo or with minimal supervision, meeting targets and recording work accurately.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, especially when handling materials (e.g., anti-damp treatment, DIY repairs).

Essential Criteria
Trade Competence
- Proven NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in joiner trade, or similar recognised qualification.
- Experience working with multiple trades in maintenance/renovation.
Workplace Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot independently, follow processes and apply technical best practices.
- Experience in social housing or customer-facing environments (preferred).
- Time management, organisation, and physical dexterity (handling tools, products, and materials).
