About Kepak Merthyr

Kepak Merthyr has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service.

Role Overview

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing effective maintenance support to our Production team, ensuring the equipment, machinery, and tools used in our factory are always running smoothly, maintaining seamless production and enhancing efficiency.

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled apprenticeship
  • Suitable Electrical and/or Mechanical Qualification
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in meat or food production
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC control, refrigeration, and PTW systems
  • Significant trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
  • Domestic wiring experience, PLC program structure and operational awareness, Continuous improvement and lean experience would be an advantage
  • Passion for food and commitment to company values
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Relationship builder with influencing skills
