Multi-Skilled Engineer

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our production sites running safely and efficiently. You’ll work with a wide range of modern food manufacturing equipment, carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and improving reliability across our lines.

Every day brings a different challenge, and your expertise will help ensure food is produced safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes to reduce downtime.
  • Work with both mechanical and electrical systems across automated production lines.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and food safety at all times.
  • Record work clearly using site systems and follow engineering processes.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute ideas that improve reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with production and engineering colleagues across shifts.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues in line with site procedures.

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing.
  • Mechanical and electrical engineering skills and a relevant qualification which has a focus on electrical engineering.
  • Confidence in fault-finding on automated machinery and production equipment.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on doing the job right first time.
  • A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills.
