Shift Pattern
Rotating shifts covering 6am – 2:15pm or 2pm – 10:15pm, 8.15 hours per day, averaging 41.25 hours per week.

About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Engineer with expertise in electrical systems and mechanical understanding to join our high-performance engineering team. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability of our production and site equipment, minimising downtime and maintaining peak operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on:
- Electrical and mechanical systems
- Conveyors, motors, control panels, and automated machinery
- Diagnose electrical faults—repairs must comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Support continuous improvement projects, enhancing equipment reliability and performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company’s CMMS system
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SEQ) standards
- Provide technical support and actively collaborate with production and operational teams

Requirements
Essential:
- A time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualification:
- NVQ Level 3
- ONC or HNC in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role, ideally within:
- Manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills, including expertise in:
- PLCs, sensors, drives, and control systems
- Basic mechanical skills with knowledge of:
- Bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Flexible, team-oriented, and capable of independent work under pressure
Preferred:
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification
- Experience with automated systems, robotics, or packaging machinery
- Knowledge of lean maintenance techniques, such as:
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Kaizen
- 5S methodology
