Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Daventry Area
Salary: £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment.

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring high levels of operational reliability across the site.

Offering a highly competitive salary of £55,000, this role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a stable, long-term position with a business that values its employees, invests in its people, and maintains exceptionally high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Provide support and cover across shifts when required during holiday periods or business needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A recognised engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
  • 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, food production, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar production environment.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
