Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Multi-Skilled Engineer – Manufacturing Maintainer (Menswear)
Play a vital role in ensuring our production sites operate safely and efficiently as a Multi-Skilled Engineer. Your expertise will keep food manufacturing lines running smoothly, from diagnosing faults to implementing proactive improvements that boost reliability and uptime.
Shift Pattern
Operate on a 4 on, 4 off schedule with shifts from 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve faults quickly, preferring first-time fixes to maintain operational efficiency.
- Work seamlessly across mechanical and electrical systems in automated production lines—balancing technical insight and hands-on repair.
- Strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety protocols at all times.
- Clearly document all work using site systems and standardised engineering processes.
- Identify recurring issues and propose actionable improvements to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and engineering colleagues across shifts to problem-solve and coordinate tasks.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues following designated site procedures.

About You

- Proven experience in food or process manufacturing, blending practical skills with continuous learning.
- A qualification in electrical engineering (or a closely related field) alongside mechanical troubleshooting expertise.
- Confidence in fault-finding on automated machinery, confident in shifting between electrical/mechanical diagnostics.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure, delivering results first time.
