[Maintenance Engineer] – Kindeva Drug Delivery

About the Role

We’re currently expanding our team of experienced Maintenance Engineers and are seeking a skilled professional to deliver essential maintenance across diverse projects, while expanding your technical expertise through advanced equipment and systems.

In this position, you will perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on manufacturing, production, and process equipment, adhering to GMP standards. Flexibility is key as you work to support business demands, ensuring safe operations that meet production schedules. Additionally, you'll collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvements within the value stream.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level maintenance support for departmental manufacturing, process, and packaging equipment, including PPM and reactive repairs
  • Diagnose faults to minimise downtime of machinery and facilities
  • Utilise predictive maintenance tools and techniques to reduce equipment unavailability
  • Resolve advanced equipment breakdowns, documenting and presenting solutions to leadership
  • Maintain and repair packaging, process, and manufacturing equipment to their validated specifications using fault detection tools
  • Demonstrate sound technical fault-finding skills with minimal reliance on manuals
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations and regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects, identifying root causes and providing actionable solutions
  • Proactively build knowledge of equipment and systems for long-term reliability
  • Offer technical advice and solutions for complex equipment issues

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a similar maintenance engineering role
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong fault-finding ability, with a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (helpful)
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Shift & Location Details

  • Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (06:00–18:15 or 18:00–06:15), averaging 40 hours per week
  • Location: Derby Road, Loughborough, UK
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
