Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineering Trainer (Tutor) - Full Time

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering Trainer (Toyota Manufacturing UK Apprenticeships)

Full time, 39 hours per week
Salary, £38,819 - £45,010 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Who are we looking for?

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Engineering Trainers/Teachers to join our specialist facility in partnership with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK.

This is a fantastic chance to teach and train highly motivated individuals while developing professionally in a globally recognised automotive manufacturing environment.

We are seeking candidates with a solid background in manufacturing engineering and mechatronics, combining technical expertise with teaching or training experience. We are particularly interested in any of the following specialisms as well as a willingness to upskill.

  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Mechanical systems maintenance
  • PLCs
  • Fluid power and pneumatics
  • Engineering drawing
  • Materials
  • Welding
  • Machining

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.

Main duties will encompass:

  • Teach and assess learners in the workplace/training academy
  • Conduct 10 - 12 weekly tripartite progress reviews with apprentices and their employers
  • Recruit, mentor and support learners throughout their journey
  • Coordinate with employers / partner organisation to ensure effective programme delivery
  • Engage in marketing and recruitment initiatives.
  • Contribute to subject development and curriculum enhancement
  • Conduct final course assessments as appropriate
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the college
  • Participate in programme reviews and evaluations for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to internal verification and moderation processes
