Are you a skilled Multi Trade Operative looking for a role where your work truly matters? A leading company in the Defence sector is seeking a Multi Trade Operative in Oxfordshire to support the maintenance and upkeep of key Defence facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a varied estate, carrying out maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishments that directly contribute to the safe and efficient operation of essential Defence sites.

The Role

As The Multi Trade Operative, You'll

  • Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishment projects across multiple Defence sites.
  • Undertake a wide variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical repairs, plastering, mechanical maintenance and general building repairs.
  • Work across both domestic and commercial buildings, adapting to a varied workload.
  • Manage your daily workload digitally using a tablet or mobile device while maintaining accurate job records.
  • Travel between sites using a company van and fuel card provided.
  • Support general storekeeping and yard duties when required.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled maintenance team.

Requirements

To be successful in the role of Multi Trade Operative, you'll bring:

  • Practical experience within maintenance, Facilities Management, construction or social housing.
  • Experience carrying out a broad range of building maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential; strong hands-on experience will also be considered.
