About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Plumber to join our team based in Rugby.


Job Purpose

The Maintenance Plumber will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, testing, installation, and fault finding on plumbing and mechanical systems throughout the facility. The role also includes supporting general building maintenance activities while ensuring all systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, installations, replacements, testing, and fault-finding on water supply and distribution systems, including valves, fixtures, and outlets.
  • Install water systems, pipework, and fixtures in line with drawings, specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain waste and vent pipe systems using appropriate equipment such as drain rods, plungers, and jet washers.
  • Support contractors and on-site teams with plumbing expertise during projects and equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, including backflow devices where certified.
  • Assist in maintaining safe and compliant building operations.
  • Provide guidance and basic plumbing training to maintenance colleagues where required.
  • Carry out general building maintenance duties as directed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and breakdown situations.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance plumbing role.
  • Good knowledge of plumbing systems and associated maintenance practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexible approach with a strong customer-focused attitude.
