Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
- Location: Walthamstow, Greater London
- Salary: £62,401 per annum
- Hours: 42 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – rotating days and nights (Days one week, nights the following week)
About The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer 🔧 to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bakery 🥖. This is a hands-on position requiring strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement 📈.
Working across both day and night shifts 🌙☀️, you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment and site services ⚙️, responding to breakdowns 🚨, and supporting site performance through reliability and efficiency improvements.
🔑 Key Accountabilities
- Diagnose and repair automation, electrical, and mechanical faults during breakdowns
- Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Support and implement the site engineering strategy
- Lead and deliver continuous improvement projects on time and within budget
- Contribute to improved site performance through KPIs such as OEE and CCOs
- Maintain and promote high standards of health and safety
- Provide training, coaching, and technical support to operators and fellow engineers
- Support wider site activities as required to ensure operational success

- C&G 2346-03 Electro-technical Experienced Worker qualification
