Multiskilled Shift Engineer

Location: Confidential | Shift-Based Role
Salary: £56,500

We are supporting a growing, multi-site manufacturing business in hiring a Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

You will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability and supporting production targets across both electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Follow health and safety standards

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or similar environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (e.g. PLCs, hydraulics, motors, conveyors)
  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
