Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical)
Location: Hull Salary: Circa. £38,474.00 Hours: Permanent, Part-Time, 37.5 hours per week (09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday) On-Call: 1 in 3 on-call rota covering out of hours.
UPP has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical) to join our team. You will work as a member of a team providing both planned and responsive maintenance services, specialising in electrical and mechanical repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned and Reactive Maintenance:
- Undertake maintenance within residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and report any hazards identified to the relevant Manager.
- Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front-line response for all electrical work.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with the schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance.
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors.
- Statutory Testing:
- Carry out statutory testing including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, fire door testing, and others as required.
- Health and Safety:
- Report any Health and Safety issues relating to the residences, ensuring all information is passed to the relevant persons.
- Other Duties:
- Assist colleagues in other trades and locations as and when the need arises.
- Undertake training as required.
- Participate in an on-call rota, when required, and be prepared to work additional hours, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
- Other duties as commensurate with the post.
