Vacancy Details

  • Job Title: Multi-Skilled Trades Technician (Plumbing Bias)
  • Location: Raigmore Hospital
  • Role: Plumbing maintenance alongside restricted mechanical and electrical repairs of building services, plant, and equipment. This crucial work helps deliver top-tier patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential plumbing-related repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct restricted mechanical and electrical repairs for healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to ensuring consistent operational excellence in hospital environments.

Requirements

  • Essential:

    • A strong background in plumbing (technical training/certification required).
    • A current UK driving licence.
    • Completion of a recognised Plumbing and Heating qualification (full details in the JD).
  • Advantageous:

    • Prior experience with heating systems, boiler plants, pumps, or ventilation in healthcare settings.
    • Self-motivated, collaborative team mentality.
    • Comfortable with remote work tasks or shifts.
    • Willingness to comply with the 1:4 on-call rota for flexible workforce coverage.
