Multi-Skilled Tradesperson
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join a busy and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a broad range of trade skills who enjoys working on a variety of construction, maintenance, and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of general building and maintenance tasks.
- Complete carpentry work including first and second fix, fitting, repairs, and finishing.
- Undertake wall and floor tiling to a high standard.
- Perform roofing repairs and minor roofing installations.
- Prepare surfaces and carry out internal and external painting and decorating.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Complete brickwork, blockwork, pointing, and other masonry tasks.
- Carry out basic welding and metal fabrication where required.
- Perform electrical maintenance, including fault finding, repairs, and installation of sockets, switches, and lighting where appropriately qualified.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other trade equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and job specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete projects on time and to a high standard.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled trade role.
- Strong practical skills across several of the following areas:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Painting & Decorating
- Tiling
- Roofing
- Bricklaying/Masonry
- Welding/Fabrication
- Electrical Maintenance
- Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of construction methods and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage a varied workload.
