Multi-Task Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for a fresh challenge? Are you someone who enjoys working in a busy environment where every day feels productive? Want to bring your A-game and make a real impact behind the scenes?

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Multi-Task Warehouse Operative to join our team working in partnership with our customer in Motherwell, ML1 4YF.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a 37-hour shift pattern. Start times are split between two shifts, 07:00 and 10:00, this is on a weekly rotation basis working Monday to Friday, however you will be contracted to work any 5 from 7 days when required.

In accordance with National Security Requirements all roles related to this site and contract are subject to the successful candidate achieving suitable personal security clearance

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Maintain accurate stock records using WMS systems and scanning equipment
  • Carry out cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Work safely in line with Health & Safety standards while supporting site KPIs
  • Contribute to efficient operations through teamwork, flexibility, and high service standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong customer service skills with effective communication, accuracy, and attention to detail with experience in a fast-paced Warehouse environment desirable
  • Initiative-taking, flexible, and positive attitude, able to work independently, in a team, adapt to frequent process changes and flexible with shifts
  • Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office, Inventory Control systems, with accurate counting and quality-checking capability
  • Must maintain confidentiality and obtain full security vetting, including Disclosure Scotland clearance, due to work within the Defence/Naval Ships environment
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential due to the location and flexibility to travel to another site, as and when required
