Multi-Trade Operative
Location: Leatherhead
Salary: £38,231 per annum
Vacancy Type: Full-time
They’re looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join their Maintenance Services team based in Leatherhead, Surrey. You’ll carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance work in their customers’ homes, helping them deliver a reliable, high-quality service.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out responsive repairs, void works and property MOTs to a high standard
- Diagnosing faults and completing works efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible
- Managing materials, van stock and ordering supplies as needed
- Using mobile systems (PDA) to update jobs in real time
- Communicating clearly with customers about work and follow-up actions
- Working safely at all times, carrying out risk assessments and following procedures
- Supporting apprentices or colleagues where needed

What They’re Looking For
- Experience in building maintenance or a skilled trade
- Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
- Ability to manage your workload and prioritise effectively
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A team player who can also work independently
