Multi Trade Operative (Voids) – Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth & Salisbury
Job Location
Site-based around:
- Southampton
- Bournemouth
- Portsmouth
- Salisbury
Working Hours
Standard hours: Monday–Friday (39 hours per week) Plus on-call commitment: 1 shift every 7 weeks
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Novus Property Solutions within our repairs and voids division, specialising in the high-quality refurbishment of void (empty) social housing properties, ensuring they meet liveable standards.
The role prioritises your skills, stability, and meaningful work, while keeping your responsibilities both challenging and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Requirements
Role Profile
We are looking for a multi-skilled trade professional capable of delivering full-scope refurbishments for vacant social housing properties. Key tasks include:

Trades covered:
- Joinery (e.g. door hanging, replacement)
- Plumbing (kitchen/bathroom installations)
- Painting & decorating
- Flooring (e.g. cap and cove)
- Minor tiling
- Patch plastering

Scope of work:
- Refurbishment of kitchens and bathrooms
- Minor tiling and floor installation
- Patch plastering, door hanging, and window replacement
- Ensuring projects meet high-quality standards for handover

Workflow:
- Manage tasks via job tickets or handheld devices, using a live shared system
- Self-manage workloads to meet company targets
- Deliver exceptional service with awareness that this is work performed within occupied homes

Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Trade qualification(s) preferred (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, tiling)
- Experience working in multi-trade environments
- Ability to operate across multiple trades within live tenanted properties
- Full UK driving licence required
- Willingness to complete a DBS check
