Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Multi-trade Operatives role based in Worcester. The role involves carrying out a variety of building and maintenance tasks, such as basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating, and minor repairs across residential and commercial properties. Multi-trade operatives will diagnose issues, complete remedial works, and ensure jobs are finished to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Attending scheduled call-outs
- Liaising with site managers and clients
- Recording work completed
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition
The role may involve working on planned maintenance programs as well as emergency repairs, requiring flexibility, reliability, and a strong focus on customer service.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence in core trades such as basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and painting and decorating.
- Experience in building maintenance, property repairs, and refurbishment work within residential or commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices, safe use of tools and equipment, and adherence to site procedures.
- Ability to interpret job sheets and drawings, assess repair needs, and complete tasks efficiently and to specification.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and supervisors, with a focus on professional customer service.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally as required for site visits.
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ or equivalent in a construction-related discipline) are desirable.
- Previous experience with public sector, social housing, or framework contracts is an advantage.
