Job Details
Salary: £12,200 for 14 hours per week (£30,500 full-time equivalent) Location: London office (Blackfriars) Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-time (14 hours/week) – shifts 6am–6pm (Mon–Fri), plus one weekend per month (travel/on-call expenses provided) Reports to: News Editor
About the Role
Premier, Europe’s largest Christian media agency, is committed to shaping impactful coverage across radio, online, and print, delivering ~3,000 stories annually.
We’re seeking a Multimedia Journalist to drive compelling, creative storytelling with exceptional news judgement and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engaging news & current affairs content for broadcast (radio bulletins, interviews, special reports) and digital platforms.
- Develop original story angles, source material accurately, and work creatively under tight deadlines.
- Shape the daily agenda and forward planning, ensuring high editorial, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate confidence handling breaking news, senior interviews, and complex subject matter.
This is a mid-level role requiring journalists adept at multi platform storytelling.

About You
Premier is looking for someone aligned with our mission: connecting people with God through media via compelling work.
⚠️ Critical requirement: A personal Christian faith (this is considered a ‘genuine occupational requirement’ for this role).
What You’ll Bring
✔ Proven journalism experience (broadcast, print, or digital) with broad commercial or genre expertise. ✔ Strong news judgement and writing skills for both on-air and digital audiences. ✔ Ability to source, verify, and develop stories independently. ✔ Experience interviewing senior figures and working accurately under deadline pressure. ✔ Firm understanding of media law, OFCOM standards, and editorial compliance. ✔ Christian faith background with an ability to represent Premier’s voice thoughtfully and sensitively.
