MultiSkilled Engineer – Project Services (Prisons)

Within our Project Services division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the daily delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of prisons for our clients.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and professional MultiSkilled Engineer to join our Project Services Team.

As a team member, you will be responsible for delivering trade-related solutions across multiple estates of varying ages and building types. Your work will ensure BJF Group meets and exceeds client-specific contractual obligations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Respond to reactive calls and carry out first fix work where possible
  • Scope and provide quotes for repairs where first fixes are not feasible to ensure minimal downtime on site
  • Complete all planned building and fabrication maintenance tasks against set programs, maintaining accurate and auditable records of all planned and completed works
  • Maintain the site in a good decorative order internally and externally, adhering strictly to specified quality standards
  • Establish strong working relationships to ensure timely completion of daily tasks and projects
  • Adhere to the highest health and safety standards at all times, aligning with industry best practices

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2
  • ECS or CSCS card (valid)
  • City & Guilds qualification (or other relevant accredited qualification) in a specialist trade
