Join Our Client's Team as a Multi-skilled Engineer in Aylesham!
Are you a talented Multi-skilled Engineer with a passion for excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our Client is looking for a dedicated engineer to be part of their dynamic team in Aylesham. This permanent, full-time position offers competitive pay at £22.91 an hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance to maximise machine uptime.
- Breakdown Response: Quickly and effectively respond to breakdowns, minimising production disruption.
- Fault Diagnosis: Utilise electrical and mechanical root cause analysis techniques to diagnose faults.
- System Support: Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems (up to 400V), PLCs, and control circuits.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to equipment optimisation and improvement projects.
- Documentation: Help develop risk assessments, SOPs, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
- Safety Management: Ensure safety risks and breakdowns are promptly addressed.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering, with strong electrical and mechanical experience.
- Experience: Background in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PLCs and variable speed drives.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to drive improvements.
