CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias.

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our dedicated team supporting the Baker Hughes Nailsea facility. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who thrives in a dynamic industrial environment, combining hands-on electrical expertise with multi-skilled maintenance responsibilities to keep critical systems running at peak performance.

This is a five-day working week role, with some flexibility in working arrangements that may be open to discussion for the right candidate.

This role sits within CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team, where colleagues are responsible for delivering expert support, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of equipment and systems to support seamless site operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems and equipment, supporting a proactive multi-skilled approach to site maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical equipment, lighting systems, and related mechanical systems to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Carry out electrical inspections, systems to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance within UK regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with production, operations, and engineering teams to minimise downtime, optimise performance, and ensure the smooth running of all facilities equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation to support traceability and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance system reliability, energy efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant electrical standards and codes of practice.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum qualification: BS 7671 (Wiring Regulations), with demonstrated competence in electrical installation, inspection and testing
  • Desirable: City & Guilds Level 3 (e.g. 2365/2357) including AM2, plus a recognised Inspection & Testing qualification (such as 2391 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on, proactive approach to fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-skilled and cross-functional team.
