What You Need To Know

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Test Technician to join our Operations team in Great Yarmouth. In this role, you will carry out testing on Subsea Control Modules (SCMs), ensuring products meet quality and performance standards before delivery.

This is a hands-on technical role involving electrical, hydraulic, and functional testing within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

Perform functional, hydraulic, electrical, and communication testing on control systems Carry out fault finding, continuity, insulation resistance, and integrity testing Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation Maintain accurate test records and documentation in line with quality requirements Ensure all testing aligns with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and project requirements Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support root-cause investigations Ensure all test equipment is safe, calibrated, and fit for purpose Liaise with engineers, clients, and third-party inspectors during test activities Support offshore or onsite activities when required

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

Essential:

Completed apprenticeship or equivalent formal training Experience in electro-hydraulic testing and fault finding within manufacturing Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail with experience maintaining technical records Team player with good communication skills

Desirable:

BTEC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline Knowledge of subsea control systems standards (e.g. API 17F / 17D) Familiarity with SCADA or control/communication software Proficiency in Microsoft Office
