About The Team
We are a leading housing provider dedicated to transforming empty properties into warm, welcoming homes. Our Empty Homes (Voids) Team is the backbone of our property lifecycle, working efficiently alongside in-house trades, sub-contractors, and lettings teams to ensure vacant properties are safely repaired and handed over to new residents to the highest standards.
We’re expanding the team and have two exciting opportunities for pro-active, highly motivated, and professional multi-skilled operatives to join our busy workforce.
About The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Trader, you will undertake a wide variety of trade tasks across vacant domestic properties, with a clear focus on carpentry and plumbing. Your role will involve:

- Completing refurbishment and repair works efficiently, safely, and in line with excellence building maintenance practices.
- Customer-centric approach—you may interact frequently with new residents, aiming to deliver exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing high-quality, multi-trade maintenance and installations, with emphases on carpentry and plumbing in vacant residential properties.
- Diagnosing faults and delivering effective, right-first-time repairs to meet national letting standards.
- Collaborating with housing, lettings, and trade teams to ensure swift relets.
- Managing job schedules via a company tablet, logging work and updating real-time progress.
- Participating in the Out-of-Hours Callout Rota to address emergency repairs.
What We Are Looking For
Requirements
- Qualifications: Must hold a valid NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in a relevant core trade—preferably Carpentry or Plumbing.
- Experience:
- Proven background in domestic maintenance, residential, or social housing.
- Void/empty homes experience is a strong advantage.
- Skill Set:
- Exceptional competencies in carpentry and plumbing, with a professional and achievement-driven approach.
- Licence & Tools:
- Full and clean UK driving licence required.
- Must supply everyday hand and power tools (specialty tools provided by the company).
