Music Lecturer
Music Lecturer (18.75 hours per week / 0.5 ratio)
Salary: £26,300 to £32,900 (Full Time Equivalent)
Role Overview
Turn your industry experience into a teaching career. Lecturers at Access Creative College are central to the student experience. This role spans a career pathway from Unqualified Teacher through to Senior Lecturer, recognising that strong teaching comes from a range of backgrounds including industry and academic routes.
All staff share the same core purpose:

- Contribute to campus life and culture
ACC actively supports progression through teaching qualifications from Level 4 CET through to Level 5 for career development.
What You Will Do
- Deliver engaging, industry-informed teaching that prepares students for creative careers
- Turn real-world experience into practical learning students can apply
- Support learners to achieve strong outcomes and progression
- Use digital tools and creative learning methods to enhance delivery
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and creative campus culture
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to improve teaching and outcomes

Additionally:
- Support student progress, attendance, and achievement
- Take part in enrichment activities, events, and employer engagement initiatives
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
- Work closely with safeguarding and inclusion teams to support learners
- Represent the college at open events and recruitment activities
Requirements
- Qualification: Level 4 CET or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in a relevant creative discipline
- Relevant industry experience or equivalent professional background
- Proven ability to support learners to achieve successful outcomes
- Confidence delivering engaging, practical, and applied teaching
- Good communication, organisation, and digital skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high standards
- Enhanced DBS clearance required
