About the studio
Some studios build a reputation by shouting. This one built it by delivering, project after project, for the better part of thirty years. It started in London in the late nineties and now runs as an international practice with studios across three continents, but the work has stayed recognisably itself: luxury done properly, with craft that survives close inspection.
The portfolio is unusually wide. Private homes, large mixed-use schemes, hospitality destinations, and occasionally a yacht or a private jet when the brief allows. Fashion retail is where the studio has made its name, though. Flagship stores for globally recognised fashion houses, the sort that collect best-in-class store design awards with slightly irritating regularity. About the role
We are looking for a mid-weight Interior Designer to take genuine ownership of commercial projects, with retail leading the charge. It suits someone equally at home shaping a bold early concept and getting into the technical coordination that makes it buildable. You will carry projects across the full arc, concept through to detailed design, and hold your programme while you do it.
The timing is good. There is a strong pipeline of high-profile commercial and retail work waiting, so there is no warming-up period, and enough autonomy that your decisions visibly change the outcome. You will sit alongside experienced designers, clients, and consultants, which is exactly the environment a mid-weight designer needs when they want to sharpen the craft and step up.
They want someone commercially minded as well as creative. A retail space has a job to do, and the designers who thrive here treat that as the interesting part rather than the constraint. If that reads like you, keep going.
Your days will look something like this...
- Developing concepts from first sketch through to coordinated, detailed design
- Producing technical packages built to be constructed, not just admired
- Space planning retail and hospitality environments with an eye on both circulation and atmosphere
- Building visuals, layouts, and client presentations that sell the idea properly
- Specifying materials, finishes, and detailing that stand up to close inspection
- Coordinating with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to keep everyone pointing the same way
- Holding programme and brief, and flagging early when something needs rethinking
- Bringing commercial judgement to creative calls, so the finished space performs as well as it photographs

- You have proven commercial interior design experience, ideally in retail environments (essential)
- You can take a concept through to a coordinated technical package under your own steam
- You are fluent in AutoCAD and Cinema 4D
- Your space planning and presentation work genuinely stands out
- You know materials, finishes, and construction detailing properly, not just by name
- You are easy to work with across clients, consultants, and wider teams
- You are organised, communicative, and unbothered by deadlines rather than allergic to them
- Hospitality or wider commercial interiors experience alongside retail would be a welcome bonus
