About the Role

Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to support people to live a more independent and fulfilling life? We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join the thriving Community Activity & Wellbeing Team to deliver outstanding community support.

Whether you’re seeking a fulfilling career helping vulnerable individuals meet their goals or an opportunity to gain experience in health and social care, this role could be ideal. You’ll demonstrate a proactive, adaptable approach to care and enthusiasm for embracing the evolving challenges in this sector.


Role Overview

This Enablement Worker position at Lakewood Court will be based in high-quality supported living accommodations serving individuals with:

  • Profound and multiple learning disabilities
  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism

Key responsibilities include:

  • Thinking creatively to adapt both activities and daily tasks to suit residents’ needs.
  • Bringing energy, joy, and enjoyment through approaches including:
    • Sensory stimulation
    • Intensive interaction
    • Teaching new skills
    • Facilitating community engagement and involvement
  • Working flexibly to meet the changing and personalised needs of those you support.

Experience is preferred but valued not over a commitment to the right values.
