Naimuri Senior Software Engineer
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Location: Salford Quays ID: 20259
About Us
We’ve celebrated our tenth anniversary, evolving from a tech start-up into a 180-strong community primarily based in Salford, Greater Manchester, with offices in Cheltenham, London, Portsmouth, and Lincoln.
Our name, Naimuri, is derived from two Japanese words: "not" and "overburden". This philosophy governs our organisation—from technology and processes to people, culture, and leadership. Central to our mission is making the UK a safer place, and we achieve this through a collaborative, Agile-first culture valued transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
A typical day at Naimuri encompasses:
- A Culture of Enablement – We remove barriers and empower you to make decisions while providing the necessary tools.
- Focus on Quality – We prioritise well-written, maintainable code, ensuring your contributions set a definitive example.
- Active Collaboration – You’ll work closely with Platform Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Product Owners, maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure and building automated delivery pipelines (GitLab).
Our projects range from weeks to over five years, including:
- A data analytics tool powered by a Neo4J graph database.
- A DevOps platform supporting 3,000 users.
- Digital forensic data processing enabling search and insights.
- A search and reporting system backed by an Elasticsearch cluster.
- A custom React/TypeScript-frontend workflow tool.
- An AI assurance capability.
- Data pipeline orchestration and specialist metrics for evaluating language model performance in different contexts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
