Named Account Executive - Local Goverment

Named Account Executive – Salesforce for Government

Salesforce’s vision: Built on ambition and innovation, Salesforce is the world’s #1 AI CRM with a focus on keeping trust at the very core of everything we do.

We’re reshaping the future in the agentic era—where humans and AI drive customer success together. We’re looking for Trailblazers — individuals who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI.

About the Team: Salesforce for Government

Salesforce for Government delivers cutting-edge business value applications to Central, Devolved, and Local Government departments, helping them build stronger connections between citizens, employees, governments, and services. Our mission is to make public sector organisations more responsive, effective, and efficient through a joined-up platform approach that transforms public user experiences.

About This Role

We’re hiring a Named Account Executive to take ownership of developing existing customer relationships and acquiring new public sector accounts within the Home Counties and UK East region. Your focus will be councils, public safety, environmental, and wellness-related services.

This is an exceptional career opportunity for a sales leader with a proven track record in quota-driven environments who can thrive as an individual contributor or account team member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory & Account Strategy:

    • Develop and implement account-specific and regional strategy—Tailor plans to public sector needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Performance & Pipeline Development:

    • Consistently exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets through:
      • Prospecting into new market segments
      • Qualifying and managing complex sales cycles
      • Closing transactions with public sector organisations
      • Expanding and renewing existing accounts
    • Maintain an efficient and high-performing sales pipeline, driving overachievement on targets.
  • Client-Centric Impact:

    • Position and demonstrate how Salesforce’s unique capabilities address public sector pain points, accelerating innovation and transformation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Solutions) to enhance customer engagement and sales success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
