Job Title: National Account Controller - Discounters

Location: Hybrid – Hemel Hempstead (monthly travel to various customers and other Carlsberg Britvic sites is expected)

Job Length: Permanent – Full Time

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As the Dynamic, Multi-Beverage Powerhouse, we are united by a single, consistent goal: ensuring our people thrive.

About the role:

We are now recruiting for a National Account Controller – Discounters. This role will manage our external relationships with multiple discounters, including Home Bargains, B&M, Farmfoods, Poundland, Heron, One Beyond, Olive Group & The Range for the Carlsberg Britvic Soft Drinks Portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:

Accelerate discounter customer growth by using brand, shopper, and category insights to develop compelling commercial and category strategies. Manage the development and delivery of high-quality commercial agreements, aligning joint business priorities and structuring investment to optimize P&L and accelerate growth for both Carlsberg Britvic and customers. Coach and develop an effective discounter account team, embedding effective commercial discipline ( 3 direct reports – 1 indirect report). Own the creation of 1–3 year account plans that align with customer and business priorities, positioning the portfolio to deliver sustainable volume and share growth. Partner cross-functionally with Brand, Category and Shopper Marketing teams to unlock growth opportunities and ensure flawless execution across accounts. Champion growth-focused strategies and execution, from promotional planning and distribution expansion to the effective launch of key innovations increasing volume and profit. Establish Carlsberg Britvic as the partner of choice within soft drinks, aligning closely to customer strategies to unlock new occasions, missions and growth opportunities. Oversee robust S&OP forecasting and performance management, ensuring accountability and delivery across the account management team. Collaborate closely with the Channel Director to develop and sustain a forward-looking culture across the integrated drinks team.
