National Account Executive
Nationwide / home-based, with regular travel to customer sites and occasional meetings at Head Office in Kilmarnock
£36,000 per annum, bonus scheme and car allowance
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role
As National Account Executive, you will manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer relationships, acting as a key point of contact at site level. You will identify opportunities to grow sales volume, value and margin, while working closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Build strong, trusted relationships with nominated customers, acting as the main point of contact at site level.
- Create and manage a call frequency plan, prioritising key customers and sites with the strongest growth opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including potential new site targets and Production Kitchen growth opportunities.
- Arrange appointments and engage with Head Chefs and Executive Chefs to understand customer needs and promote relevant solutions.
- Manage day-to-day customer queries and delivery challenges, responding within appropriate timeframes.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, price files, CRM records and site-level contact details.
- Support sampling for new product development and new product lines, ensuring timely customer follow-up and internal communication.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Services, Procurement, Production Kitchen, Marketing, Operations and Finance to enhance the Braehead Foods customer experience.
- Attend customer events and Head Office meetings where required.

What we’re looking for
- At least 2 years’ relevant sales experience, or similar experience in customer service, account management or territory management.
- A confident relationship builder who can work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in a people-focused environment, both face to face and by telephone.
- Foodservice, hospitality, wholesale, FMCG or field sales experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.
