Join Our Commercial Team
We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Customer Executive to join our commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in FMCG sales and account management within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Working alongside experienced commercial colleagues, you'll help manage customer relationships, support business growth, and contribute to delivering outstanding service to major UK retail customers. As your experience develops, you'll also have the opportunity to take ownership of customer accounts and support new business opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
As Customer Executive, you'll support the day-to-day management of customer accounts by:
- Supporting the delivery of customer plans and commercial activities.
- Assisting with the management of customer accounts to achieve sales, volume, and profitability objectives.
- Supporting business planning activities and monitoring performance against agreed objectives.
- Producing sales reports, forecasts, and commercial analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Coordinating promotional activity and supporting new product introductions.
- Assisting with pricing administration, customer agreements, and commercial projects.
- Building strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver excellent service.

Working Across the Business
You'll work closely with colleagues across a range of functions, including:
- Category and Insights
- Marketing and Product Development
- Supply Chain and Logistics
- Commercial Finance
- Operations, Manufacturing, and Technical teams
Together, you'll help deliver excellent customer service and support the successful execution of commercial plans.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You'll be confident building relationships, analysing data, and managing multiple priorities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree-level education preferred.
- Experience working with UK grocery retailers or within an FMCG commercial environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing sales or account management role.
- Understanding of commercial planning and customer account management.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Experience with both branded and own label products would be advantageous but is not essential.

About the Role
You'll support the delivery of sales and profitability targets through effective account management, reporting, and commercial administration. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting sales performance and commercial objectives.
- Managing customer spend within agreed budgets.
- Assisting with promotional planning and execution.
- Producing regular customer performance reports.
- Monitoring market activity and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Travel Requirements
This is a home-based role with regular travel, including:
- Visits to our manufacturing site in Lancashire.
- Travel to customer locations across the UK.
- Occasional travel to other UK business locations.
- Overnight stays when required.
