About the Role
We are looking for a sales-driven individual to join our Field Sales Team and play a pivotal supportive role within the team. Reporting into a Senior National Account Manager (SNAM), you will provide proactive and effective sales presence for our largest customers to deliver growth.
The role is field-based with some time spent in our Watford headquarters. You will be required to maintain high levels of customer interaction, ensuring the customer base is supported and managed in line with the business plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) in delivering monthly sales and margin targets
- Build and leverage strong customer relationships at unit level, demonstrating growth through proposition selling. Customer visits would be scheduled for at least three days a week
- Support Head Office activity, including monthly customer meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and cover internal meetings when necessary
- Effectively collaborate with customers to understand their growth plans, adding value and offering practical solutions and products to drive margin and sales
- Maintain and complete all business reporting and customer records, adhering to agreed timeframes using available data management systems
- Stay informed about competitor activity to ensure customers receive the best local and national solutions
- Determine key contact strategies within customer organisations and manage relationships across all levels (chefs, operations, purchasing, and category teams)
- Work closely with the Telesales and Customer Service teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
- Understand and interpret data and insights to qualify potential commercial opportunities
- Explore inbound business development opportunities to maximise leads
- Support the Sales team, including covering functions such as "pop-ups" or trade shows as needed

About You
We welcome a self-starting, results-driven individual eager to progress in a sales and commercial role.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with a focus on face-to-face B2B field sales
- Experience presenting to groups and engaging with stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in organising and attending small/medium promotional events, including product demonstrations
- Demonstrable knowledge and training in the sales process
- Familiarity with the foodservice and wholesale sector is a strong advantage
