Alchem Partners are excited to be engaged as the search partner to a growing business who specialise in the supply of chemical raw materials across a range of industries. They pride themselves on building long-term partnerships, delivering reliable supply solutions and providing exceptional customer service.
Due to an exciting growth strategy, our client is seeking to appoint a National Account Manager to join an existing sales team here in the UK where the right person can make a real impact!
About the Role
The successful candidate will drive growth in the UK and Europe through new and existing business pipelines, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and margin within current key accounts. This role is a blend of account management and business development and will suit someone with a proactive approach!
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth in the UK and Europe through new and existing business pipelines
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and margin within current key accounts
- Manage and develop relationships with key accounts
- Identify new business and margin growth opportunities
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
- Coach and mentor staff
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as customer service and the senior leadership team
- Develop sales strategies and drive growth

Required Experience
- Proven sales experience and success within the chemical manufacturing/distribution markets
- Strong technical understanding
- Experienced in solution-based selling
- Ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
- Ability to identify new business and margin growth opportunities
- Experienced in managing and developing relationships with key accounts
- Experienced in coaching and mentoring staff
- Well organized and able to implement new processes
- Able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as customer service and the senior leadership team
- A proven performer who can develop sales strategies and drive growth
- Experience of CRM (Sage) and MS Office IT systems

What We Offer
- Competitive salary of c£45,000pa - £55,000pa
- Bonus and benefits
- An office-based position based in Stockport, with expected travel to customer and company sites as required
