National Account Manager
About the Role We are seeking a high-energy, commercially driven National Account Manager to spearhead the next phase of growth across key retail channels. This is a transformational opportunity to take ownership of major grocery, discount, and impulse customers, driving both existing performance and unlocking new revenue streams.
The ideal candidate thrives on winning new business, building strong customer relationships, and translating insights into commercial success. You will shape customer strategy while collaborating with Category, Marketing, and Innovation teams, owning your profit & loss (P&L) and delivering against rigorous targets.
This role is for someone who is proactive, resilient, and eager to build an impactful career in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, credible relationships with retail customers and key stakeholders
- Identify and unlock growth opportunities across existing and new accounts
- Develop and deliver insight-led joint business plans aligned with customer needs
- win new listings and expand into new categories and channels
- Work cross-functionally to ensure best-in-class execution of innovation launches
- Manage customer investment effectively, ensuring clear ROI and value creation
- Negotiate commercially robust agreements while maintaining strong partnerships
- Leverage data and insights to influence decision-making and drive high performance
- Own and deliver account P&Ls, ensuring top and bottom-line targets are met
- Provide accurate forecasting and support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
- Maintain strong commercial governance and account administration
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, guiding wider business decisions

Experience & Skills
Core Requirements
- Proven experience managing and growing retail FMCG accounts
- Track record of winning new business from initial contact through to launch
- Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into tangible business outcomes
- Confident in using data and insight to build persuasive customer strategies
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Highly analytical with a sharp attention to detail
- Comfortable balancing “hunter” (winning new business) and “farmer” (nurturing existing accounts) responsibilities
