National Account Manager
We are supporting a well-established FMCG manufacturing business in the appointment of a National Account Manager to manage and develop strategic customer partnerships across a portfolio of key accounts.
This is an important commercial role, responsible for driving profitable growth through customer management, P&L ownership and the delivery of effective trading strategies.
Working closely with senior commercial stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities and delivering sustainable business performance.
Role Details
- Location: London
- Salary: Competitive salary + bonus + car allowance
- Contract: Permanent
- Working pattern: Home-based, with an expectation to attend the office two days per week

You will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic accounts, managing commercial performance and developing plans that deliver both customer and business objectives.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Managing full P&L responsibility across a portfolio of customer accounts, including profitability, investment and commercial performance
- Developing and executing customer trading strategies, Joint Business Plans and growth initiatives
- Leading customer negotiations across areas including pricing, margin, investment and promotional activity
- Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders and working collaboratively with internal teams to maximise opportunities
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a commercially driven Account Manager with experience managing customer relationships within the FMCG sector.

You may currently be working as a:
- Business Account Manager
- National Account Manager
- Commercial Executive
To succeed in the role you will likely have:
- Proven experience within FMCG sales or commercial account management
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, negotiations and customer investment
- Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills with the ability to operate at all levels
- A results-focused mindset with strong analytical ability and a drive to deliver growth
