National Account Manager – Permanent

Location: [Market Drayton (Hybrid), with travel required as needed]


About the Role

At Müller, we specialise in creating some of the nation’s favourite dairy products, motivated by ambition, collaboration, and ethical business principles. We’re recruiting a National Account Manager to join our Commercial team, taking an active role in delivering our growth plans.

This key accountability position requires ownership of accounts—directing profitable growth through customer partnerships and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves close collaboration with Category, Finance, Demand Planning, and Operations teams to translate strategy into actionable results.


Responsibilities

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking full profit & loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned accounts
  • Driving strategic growth plans and unlocking new distribution channels
  • Leading Joint Business Plans with key customers
  • Designing promotional and shopper engagement strategies
  • Identifying and capitalising on New Product Development (NPD) and Product Placement Agreement (PPA) opportunities aligned with customer and channel priorities
  • Collaborating with Finance and Demand Planning teams to develop accurate sales forecasts

Requirements

Ideal candidates will possess:

✔ Proven 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Food Manufacturing Consumer Goods (FMCG) Account Management role ✔ Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering growth ✔ A natural ability to build relationships, both with clients and internal teams ✔ An organised, proactive mindset capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment ✔ A collaborative attitude that thrives in a high-energy, team-driven setting
