National Account Manager | FMCG
📍 Hybrid | Berkshire
💰 £65,000 + Annual Bonus + £6,000 Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
I'm working exclusively with a leading branded FMCG manufacturer looking to appoint an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of a key retail account portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven account manager who has experience within the discount retail channel, particularly with Iceland and/or Farmfoods.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a significant customer portfolio, driving profitable growth through strategic account management, Joint Business Planning and strong commercial execution. Working alongside Category, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams, you'll develop customer strategies that deliver sustainable growth while owning the commercial performance of your accounts.

Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility for a major retail account portfolio.
- Build and deliver Joint Business Plans with key customers.
- Manage forecasting, pricing, promotional investment and profitability.
- Identify growth opportunities through customer, shopper and category insight.
- Lead commercial negotiations and annual business planning.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure best-in-class execution.

About You
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing UK FMCG retail accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue and margin growth.
- Previous responsibility for sizeable customer P&Ls.
- Excellent Joint Business Planning and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with discount retailers, with Iceland and/or Farmfoods experience highly desirable.
- The ability to use commercial and category insight to influence customer decisions.
